The Japan Times Video: Takara Tomy's "Zoids Wild" Toys Revealed at News Conference

Takara Tommy revealed the first lineup of Zoids Wild, the new series of its mecha-themed animal toy franchise Zoids at the news conference held in Tokyo on February 27. The franchise was launched in 1983 and has shipped over 44 million plamodel kits.

The official YouTube channel of The Japan Times, Japan's largest and oldest English-language daily newspaper, has posted 90-second video report to explain the toys' concept and gimmicks and to introduce its first two main kits, Wild Liger and Gilraptor. The two new plastic models will be released in Japan at 3,000 yen (about 28 US dollars) in June 2018.

The Zoids Wild TV anime series is also set to premiere in Japan this summer. Norihiko Suto (Pokémon)

is attached to direct at OLM. It will be the first Tv anime in 12 years since Zoids Genesis in 2005-2006.
