Back in November we reported on Rurouni Kenshin author Nobuhiro Watsuki being convicted for possession of child pornography. He ended up being fined ¥200,000 (about $1,870) earlier this year, and now his Rurouni Kenshin: Hokkaido Arc manga is preparing to return to Shueisha's Jump SQ. magazine on June 4.

The editorial department issued a statement on the matter, apologizing for the hiatus and commenting on Watsuki's current state. According to the official website, Watsuki "spends his days reflecting and with remorse." Shueisha says Watsuki's obligation as an author as well as theirs as a publisher is to "reply through the work to the various opinions we've been getting" and continue serialization.
