Company to also release Narutimate Storm Trilogy bundle of 1st 3 games in July

This year's 19th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is revealing on Monday that Bandai Namco Entertainment is developing a new game in the Naruto franchise titled Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker. The issue also reveals that Bandai Namco Entertainment is also releasing a Narutimate Storm Trilogy game for the PlayStation 4.

The magazine describes Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker as an "acrobatic ninja battle" game for the PlayStation 4. The game will have an online component, and players can form four-person cells in multiplayer to fight against another four-person cell for a total of eight players. The game has no set release date.

Narutimate Storm Trilogy bundles the first three games in the Ultimate Ninja Storm (Narutimate Storm in Japan) game series in a single release. The bundle is slated for release on July 27, and will cost 6,800 yen (about US$61). The first edition of the game's physical version in Japan will bundle a poster, and the first edition of the physical and digital copies will include a serial code with access to view the Boruto anime that screened at last year's Jump Special Anime Festa event in Japan.

The first Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm game (pictured at right) shipped on the PlayStation 3 in North America in November 2008 and in Japan in January 2009. Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 arrived in North America and in Japan on the PS3 and Xbox 360 in October 2010, and Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 arrived on the PS3 and Xbox 360 in March 2013 in North America and April 2013 in Japan.

Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 arrived in North America and Japan in February 2016 on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Bandai Namco Entertainment released Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Road to Boruto, an expansion for the game, in North America and Europe on February 3 and in Japan on February 2.
